Imperfect Widow

Our Sterling Silver Widow ring, with an imperfect Onyx (18x13mm) stone.

This Onyx is slightly shallower than our usual stones, meaning the stone setting sits less proud when worn.

The stone also has a very light natural banding which runs diagonally across the lower corner of the stone.

She’s a black beauty and deserving of finding her forever home.

Please note: The ring photographed is the same style of ring you will receive, but not the same stone. Please read why below…

The Imperfects

We’re pretty fussy with what stones we’ll use in our pieces, which sadly leaves a lot of stones feeling lonely and left behind.

We believe they are still beautiful enough to be deserving of finding their forever homes, but at a cheaper price.

To keep them cheap as chips we won’t be photographing each and every stone (this takes time & patience Christine doesn’t have…) but rest assured any flaws are minimal and we will do our best to describe them.

Some imperfections are as small as pinprick, or just as simple as a wonky facet. Lots of other jewellers would likely use these stones anyway, but we’re not like other jewellers.

Eva ★★★★★

The lower profile of this stone is honestly a win—it sits flush enough that it doesn't catch on my other rings or gloves. I love that the onyx has a subtle, uneven depth to it; it catches the light in a way a perfect stone never would.

I wasn’t sure about the imperfect stone before ordering, but wearing it now I actually prefer the lower profile—it catches on nothing and sits flush against my glove. The onyx has a lovely depth even though it’s shallower, and the silver feels solid without being heavy.

Samuel Y. ★★★★★

The shallower onyx makes this ring surprisingly comfortable for daily wear—it doesn’t catch on sleeves or bump into things like my other rings. The silver has a nice weight to it, and the imperfect stone gives it a character I actually prefer.
